Sometimes Life will be forced to put you in a difficult situation, just to shield you from something far worse.
There comes a time in our lives, when Life has to intervene to keep us out of harm’s way, and the way it accomplishes such a feat is by using the angel wrench to counteract the effects of negative energy’s weapon of choice: the monkey wrench.
Nope, it’s not a typo. It’s an angel wrench and not an angle wrench.
The angel wrench is not a physical tool. It’s more of a situation that Life creates to try to thwart negative energy’s plan.
Missing a flight, showing up late for an appointment, not landing a certain job, getting lost while driving somewhere, getting outbid when making an offer on your dream house, and arriving at your house five minutes after a cat burglar has just left...are all examples of Life counteracting NE’s (negative energy) fiendish plots.
There’s a delicate ballet between such formidable opposing forces. NE throws a car accident, Life responds with a flat tire that will keep the road collision from happening. NE throws an early-stage disease, Life will respond with a stomachache that will take you to the ER, where the illness will be discovered.
I’m not saying that the angel wrench is all-powerful or that it is a perfect solution. Sometimes NE will win. Sometimes Life will prevail.
I think it’s not always easy for Life to make the call. Maybe sometimes the consequences of using the angel wrench can be almost as bad as letting NE’s plan unfold. How does Life decide in such situations? Does it flip a coin or does it follow Mr. Spocks’ philosophical statement: ”The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.”
While some individuals see Life defeating NE, others just see chance or luck. I’m one of those who sees a higher power behind every monkey wrench being counteracted by an angel wrench.
By the way, you may know the angel wrench by its other name: a blessing in disguise.
Next time you’re feeling disappointed or frustrated with a certain situation, take a minute to think that maybe, this was the only way Life was able to shield you from something far worse. ☼
